Catalog. Design an equivalent lift that uses power screw as an actuator using
the following steps:
1. Calculate the force needed
to lift the payload. Use Working Model or Solidworks (with
Cosmos / Motion) if you are familiar with them. Else, do static force analysis
at the highest and lowest positions.
2. Select proper power screw.
3. Design an appropriate nut.
You need to clarify how the nut will be assembled and disassembled.
4. Propose an activation method
(manual or electric motor).
5. Design the table legs.
6. Compare your design to the
commercial product.
