The hitch has these components: ball mount, pin and clip, ball, and nut. · Design a similar (not necessarily identical) hitch. You may need to disassemble a wrench to better understand it. · Calculate loads on the hitch due to the weight distribution and the axial load. You may use this site as a guide: http://www.etrailer.com/faq/aboutwd.asp. Assume a worst-case scenario. Justify your answers. · You are to choose materials and dimensions such that the machine will not fail due to any possible combinations of stresses. · Use the rapid prototyping machine to create a 1:4 scale model of your design.
