The project include the following steps:

  1. Identify the linkage loops and joints.
  2. Identify the input link. 
  3. Calculate the degree of freedom of the linkage.
  4. Use Working Model to study this system.
  5. Figure out the length of all links to achieve the desired motion. This step is iterative.
  6. Identify the ranges of the motion of every link.
  7. Identify the cylinder power that can lift the weight within the desired time
