Extra-Curricular Activities Credit You can
earn up to an additional 4% extra credit by doing one or more of the
following. The vision I have is a commitment of one hour per week for the duration
of the semester. You will need to show a proof of these activities: ·

technical professional organization such as: o ASME – American Society of
Mechanical Engineers o AIAA – American Institute
for Aeronautics and Astronautics o ASC – American Society for

to see if the organization qualifies) Working
on a student design competition such as Human Powered Vehicle or Mini Baja. Please note that
joining means active participation
in the activities of this organization. Paying the dues and doing nothing cannot be used as a justification for extra credit! You will need to have the chair of the section email
me a statement describing your activities near the end of the semester. ·
(2%) Make a 5 minute presentation in class
about an interesting machine, technical article, job, engineering/science
story that is somehow related to this class. Send me a short powerpoint file (10 slides or

sometime during the semester. ·
