COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

 2000 Catalog Data: ME 426/626 - Manufacturing Processes 3.0 Credit(s). Survey of the principal processes used to cast, form, machine, and join material. Tolerances, statistical quality control, costs, operation sequencing, and design for producibility are covered. A research paper on a topic related to the course is required. Prerequisite: Senior standing in engineering or architecture, or consent of instructor.

 Homework Assignments: Homework will be assigned periodically through the semester. Homework will not be accepted after due date without penalty.

 Project: Graduate students will work on a manufacturing related project.

 Examinations: The students will take two (2) midterm examinations. The comprehensive final examination is scheduled for Monday Dec. 11, 2000, from 10:10 a.m.-12:10 a.m.
