Machine Shop Practices
Syllabus
The objective of the machine shop practice course is to familiarize the student with the basic Shop safety, metal fabrication and machine shop equipment. Eight different pieces of fabrication equipment will be discussed. Required shop materials will be supplied, however the student must supply their own Z-87 grade OSHA approved safety glasses.
Each student is required to complete two projects.
1. Center punch
2. Metal cube
Classes will be held in TBE-B-177 Tuesdays at 8:30 am to 9:20 pm. Not including the project time, which is to be completed outside of class time. Further discussion will be at a later time.
