NEW Course for Spring 2003: SolidWorks

Course Number: MEG  240X, Call No.: 18558

When: Wednesday, 0700-0815 p.m.

What Does it Do?

SolidWorks 2001 is powerful 3D parametric modeling software that allows the creation of complex three dimensional models.

·        A comprehensive sketching tool allows you to create different two-dimensional sketches.

·        Two-dimensional sketches are used to create three-dimensional objects.

·        You can look at your model from any angel, zoom-in on any feature, and obtain mass properties at any stage of the design process.

·        You can assemble components together.

·        Completed assemblies will allow you to check the interference between the components, redefine parts within the assembly.

·        You do not have to recreating line by line two dimensional engineering drawings for each view of the part or the assembly.

·        Drawings are created automatically using one stroke.
