Spring 2003

New Course: MEG 100   Introduction to Mechanical and

Aerospace Engineering

This course offers an alternative to EGG102 and 102L Introduction to Engineering Design. You may take either MEG 100 + MEG 100L, or EGG102 +102L.

Why a new course?  In response to student comments, we decided to make both the lab component ( MEG 100L) and the design component of the course more relevant and motivating. In MEG 100, you will have the opportunity to build and test your designs, and to find for yourself what works best. Working in a small team, you will design, build, and program a small mobile robot. We’ll hold a mobile robot competition among all MEG 100 teams at the end of the semester. The students participating in the previous LEGO design enjoyed the experience, and we are looking forward to your having a rewarding experience designing and operating robots in the spring semester of 2003.
